White House press admin Sarah Sanders backed President Trump on Friday when asked in case itâs official position of the management that the women who have accused Trump of harassment and assault are usually lying.
âWeâve been clear on that from the beginning and the presidentâs spoken on it,â Sanders told the reporter at the daily press briefing.
More than a dozen women openly accused Trump of sexual nuisance or assault during last yearâs campaign, when the leak of the âAccess Hollywoodâ tape revealed he bragged regarding doing so with impunity in 2005.
At the time, Trump categorically refused the accusations and dismissed exactly what he called âlocker roomâ talk captured on the tape. He even vulnerable to sue the accusers, yet never followed through.
Earlier this particular month, the president was inquired again about the allegations, which this individual decried as politically motivated âfake news.â
âAll I can say is itâs totally fake news,â Trump said. âItâs just fake. Itâs fake. Itâs made-up stuff, and itâs disgraceful what happens. But thatâs what happens in the world of politics.â
The issue associated with sexual harassment and assault perpetrated by powerful men has centered the news recently after numerous ladies came forward earlier this 30 days to accuse Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein of a decades-long pattern associated with behavior. Political journalist Mark Halperin was suspended as an NBC Information contributor and had a book deal terminated this week after a CNN report comprehensive harassment allegations against him.
