A few dozen free speech recommends rallied peacefully Saturday on Birkenstock boston Common but just like last summer’s event, they were outnumbered by counter-protesters.

The “Rally for the Republic” event was held simply by conservative groups Resist Marxism plus Boston Free Speech despite getting denied a permit by the town. Police surrounded the gathering.

Rally speakers gathered at a bandstand in the Common warned that free presentation was under threat and arrested Antifa and Black Lives Issue groups of being terrorist organizations. Whitened hats with the phrase, “RESIST MARXISM,” had been thrown into the crowd, many of who wore pro-Trump apparel, and belittled the media and left-leaning organizations for labeling them as hateful.

At least 100 counterprotesters came along.

Resist Marxism has denounced whitened supremacism repeatedly and publicly. However the August rally came shortly after fatal violence erupted in Charlottesville, Va, and it drew thousands who stated they feared white nationalists may show up anyway.

Some clashed along with police, and more than 30 have been arrested.

No injuries were documented at Saturday’s rally and counterprotest, and a total of three individuals were arrestedâ€? two for disorderly carry out and the other for assaulting the police officer.
