Nothing brings a couple together like a pair of Apple AirPods.
In Apple’s latest vacation ad, entitled “Sway, ” the business shows, perhaps for the first time, how a couple might share one pair of wi-fi Apple AirPods.
Unlike 2015’s award-winning “Misunderstood, ” there actually isn’t much of a story to Swing, which will air for the first time on Thanksgiving holiday during NFL football, but slipped a day early on YouTube. Instead, a new woman puts in her AirPods, pulls out her iPhone By (naturally), opens Apple Music, draws up Sam Smith’s Palace, plus starts dancing on the snowy roads. Of course , all that leaping and twirling on the busy byways of a town like New York (we don’t know whether it’s New York City), leads to her thumping into a guy. Instead of a New Jersey Praise, the guy just stares from her as she casually draws one AirPods from her hearing and puts it in his ear.
This would work IRL.
AirPods automatically pause the music if you remove one from your ear and begin up again when you put 1 back in your ear. They feeling the touch of skin, yet don’t have to be in the same person’s hearing to start playing again.
Of course, this leads to them both dance in the streets, which they do specifically well because the pair, Lauren Yatango-Grant and Christopher Grant, are, actually married in real life.
It’s interesting that Apple uses AirPods sharing in this ad since several have complained that these untethered sound system kill the intimacy couples constantly got from sharing the ” cable ” Apple EarPods.
Oddly, the particular dancing spell breaks and the few part ways. It’s not even very clear if the guy returned his half the AirPods to the woman. I can only imagine her walking around the town with one AirPod
It’s not really Apple most moving or unforgettable ad, but it’s a decent display for features in some of its top products.
