Hidden data suggests new Pokémon and a Halloween event are coming to 'Pokémon Go'

Get ready for the following generation of Pokémon in Pokémon Go. Video game sleuths from your group known as the Silph Road revealed a whole bunch of hidden data added to Pokémon Go in its latest update. The particular intel suggests that the third generation associated with Pokémon may be coming to the game shortly, along with some Halloween content.

The latest Pokémon Go information mine includes sound files regarding Pokémon from Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald (a. k. the. gen III), a new badge tagged gen III, a new Halloween launching page, some Halloween music, plus files that imply there may be the Halloween event and Halloween variations of some Pokémon.

Here’s the new Pokémon Go loading web page, which includes gen III ghost-type Pokémon Banette, Shuppet, Dusclops, and Duskull,  among some other Pokémon from previously generations.

The post around the Silph Road Reddit that describes the findings also includes a few other data discoveries, including some little tweaks and fixes, and brand new anti-cheating measures.

Unfortunately all of us don’t know exactly when the new functions will go live, which Pokémon may have Halloween variants, or what the Halloween party event actually entails… but with April. 31 just a couple weeks away, all of us probably won’t have to wait long to discover.
