Facebook is upgrading the list of words that, whenever included in a status update, result in hidden animations.
The social networking has been experimenting with these for a little bit â? you’ve probably seen them upon posts with the words “congratulations” or even “xoxo” (or some variation thereof. ) When posted, these terms appear as a different color plus clicking on them triggers a brief computer animation (balloons or hearts, for example. )Â
Now, Facebook is updating record of words that triggers these animated graphics. Additions include: “rad, ” “bff, ” “lmao, ” and “thank you so much. ” All of those terms will now come with their own colors plus animation effects.
Facebook is also updating the particular animations associated with reactions to “life events, ” like engagements plus weddings. Now, when people add a reaction to a “life event, ” the response will come alongside animated reactions that will fill the update. Â
The updates are the most recent way Facebook is turning to colourful animations to spice up the News Give food to. The social network is always looking for ways to increase “original sharing” â? posts which are, you know, actual thoughts, not just reposting of memes and viral video clips.
Adding more animations plus features like its colorful standing updates are one way to accomplish that will goal. (It’s also not a poor distraction from all that Russia things. )
