Japan’s Emperor Akihito has announced in a few days to give up the throne. However,no date was set. The public broadcaster NHK reported.

In 1989 he received the throne his father Hirohito 82 years old Akihito was suffering from some health in recent years.

He said, lowering his official duties as the emperor did not wish to stay.

He served 7 years as Emperor. It’s an unprecedented step in the history of modern Japan.

Naruhito can be replaced by the crown prince. He is 56 years old.
