Because nothing says legitimacy like a 30-second informercial, everyone’s favorite racist grand daddy has taken to Fox News in order to push the latest retirement-savings proposal in order to 68-year-olds across this great nation. And what is it that Ron Paul will be pushing, exactly? Why that would be Bitcoin.

That’s right, the former congressman is shilling for Bitcoin upon Fox News. But not just any cryptocurrency will do for the man afraid of the Federal Reserve. Nope, John wants you to put your hard-earned bucks into a “Bitcoin IRA. “

Ads showing Paul extolling the particular virtues of Coin IRA are actually on the network since at least October, however it somehow wasn’t until recently they caught our astonished eyes. Plus, well, you’ll just have to watch this for yourself.

Interestingly, Gold coin IRA is a subsidiary of some thing called Goldco â€? a company that will says it aims to “help clients looking to add precious metals for their IRAs. ” That’s right, a precious metal company is presumably paying Ron Paul to convince old timers to bank their retirement upon cryptocurrency.

Notably, Paul reports Bitcoin “can be a participant within bringing down the dollar, ” who knows what’s really going on because dude’s head.

There any thing we can guess, however: Gold coin IRA is likely helping at least one individuals retirement plans, and that would be by means of checks made out to Ron Paul.
