Plenty of video games feature lots of dead folks, but I think everyone can agree that most of the dead “people” we see on video games had been never alive on the other side of the display. Â
Not so with Telltale’s Batman: The Enemy Within.
The video game vlogging channel Bro Group Pill was reportedly the first to observe that the image of a dead security safeguard in the game was strikingly similar to the notorious image of Andrei Karlov, moments following the former Russian ambassador to Chicken was assassinated at an art gallery within Ankara on Dec. 19, 2016. Â
SO TELLTALE BATMAN JUST USED THE IMAGE OF THAT KILLED RUSSIAN DIPLOMAT IN THEIR GAME PLUS THOAUAHAHAAHAHHAHAHAAＡＡＨＡＡＡＨＡＡＡＨＡＨＡＨＡＨＡＨＡＨＡＨＡＨＡ pic. twitter. com/QqhjyFQfP1

The cannibal, killed in an exchange of gunfire following the murder, was a 22-year-old off-duty policeman. He reportedly shouted “Don’t forget Aleppo, don’t forget Syria” right after he opened fire.
News of an assassinated ambassador would have produced headlines around the world anyway, but it distribute even more rapidly in part due to the symbolism. Karlov was assassinated as digital cameras rolled, and photographers captured pictures of the slain ambassador as their killer stood over him having a gun.
After the image has been identified, Telltale sent a declaration to Gamasutra, saying an up-date to the game erased it “across all platforms. “Â
“We feel dissapointed this incident occurred, ” someone said, according to the statement. “We are taking suitable action internally to ensure that we continue to keep maintain our high standards within production and quality assurance. “
Telltale didn’t provide any information about how exactly the image of Karlov got into the overall game to begin with. We’ve asked, and we’re going let you know if they get back to us.
