Twitter Lite app launches in Asia, Latin America, Africa, and more

Twitter En aning, the space-saving version of Twitter’s main app, is ready for excellent time after about two months associated with ground testing in the Philippines.

The social network announced on Friday it’s liberating Twitter Lite to Android’s Search engines Play store in 24 nations, mostly in emerging markets throughout Asia, Africa, Europe, the Middle Eastern, and Latin America.

The app is meant to take up handful of space on phones, at about 3MB, and � importantly for locations with patchy coverage � assistance offline usage via caching.

It’ll also allow users to select which pictures or videos in order to download in their stream, so they have a tendency waste data auto-downloading everything.

Twitter first announced Twitter En aning as a progressive web app in April (at mobile. tweets. com), but this proper turns out to the Google Play store inside the make its app more sticky, compared with making users go to a web page.
